“Building a Resilient Future Anchored in Integrity”

VISION – MISSION

Caritas Primary School embraces the Preventative system of Don Bosco, which aims to provide a comprehensive education for all children, especially those who may be underprivileged, so that they can grow up to be honest, diligent, and happy Christian citizens of Papua New Guinea. To achieve this, we are dedicated to instilling spiritual and moral values through early childhood education.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CARITAS PRIMARY SCHOOL

The school aims to achieve its dual objectives:

• Instilling and nurturing good Christian values in students, aligning with the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
• Fostering the holistic development of young children, shaping them into responsible, compassionate citizens, while nurturing their spiritual, physical, and mental growth for a well- rounded future.

Overview

Caritas Primary school is a Catholic institution rooted in and committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church, which guides the life of the school, therefore, the students belonging to other religious denominations are encouraged to live their Christian faith according to their own Church tradition in respect for one another. A scheduled Spiritual Recollection for all year levels must be attended, regardless of religious affiliation.

We believe that the early childhood educational  experience is an important part of a child's development, as it provides a foundation for future learning and development. It helps children to develop social skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, and it also promotes a love of learning that can last a lifetime.

The School’s overall objective is to equip children with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to continue their education and lead productive lives.

Our Kindergarten as well as the primary school introduce on the fundamental subjects of literacy (reading and writing), numeracy (Mathematics), Arts, Religion, Games and other activities to build the foundation of basic academic skills, knowledge and life-long learning experience.
